His house was so chilly. It was only the beginning of November, but his house was as cold as a February night. How could this guy stand this kind of cold? The freezing cold hard wood floors made your knees numb. You didn't want to sit on the floor any longer, but you were much too nervous to move up to the couch where Ivan was lounging. You sigh heavy as you ask the next question. "Okay, so Don John, the bastard, hated his brother Don Pedro because
" Ivan's face scrunched with puzzle. Your class was reading Shakespeare this month. You yourself found Shakespeare hard to read, you can only imagine how hard it must be for a Russian foreign exchange student to read it. Ivan's English was perfectly fine (minus the accent), it was just the alphabet he struggled with. Finally after a long pause Ivan opened his mouth.
"Nope, that's against the rules. Think about it." He released a sigh. During Ivan's first day of school, you were the one who was picked to show him around. Ever since then teachers have always paired you up with him for anything. You were like his permanent partner or something. You didn't mind though, Ivan is a sweet guy, always smiling, always thoughtful, it's a shame so many people think he's scary, but he's purely just a gentle giant. Anyways, your English teacher saw Ivan struggling and asked you to help him study. He hasn't answered one question right yet. You fumbled with the study guides and book while he took out his cell phone from his back pocket. "Ivan, what are you doing?" you ask while he dials his cell.
"Phoning a friend for help~"
"This is not 'Who wants to be a Millionaire', Ivan." He holds up his index finger to his lips and makes a 'shhhh' noise.
"I'm on the phone кошечка." He whispers. Your cell phone begins to buzz in your back pocket. You giggle. You grab you phone.
"Hello?" You answer
"привет ______. Would you happen to know why Don John hated his brother?" He smiles.
"Yes, He hated Don Pedro because he was getting the royal name and not him."
"That's what I was thinking~"
"Sure it was." You hang up the phone and smile at Ivan. He really is handsome. You couldn't deny that. That pale blonde hair that sweeps across his face, those soft violet eyes that gaze with such thought, his smile, his never ending smile. He grins when he catches you staring. Flustered, you tear your gaze off him and onto the ground.
"______," He pats the couch, signaling you to come up. "The ground must be cold, and it'll be easier to study if the books next to me."
"A-alright." You didn't protest, the ground was unbearably chilly. You crawl up next to him and place the book and notes on your lap. He leans over, right next to you. You start to try and explain the story a bit more to him. He nods and adds a "Mm-hm." every now and again. "See, he didn't care if he couldn't destroy his brother, He just wanted to destroy the royal name. If he couldn't have it, no one could, ya' know?" He smiles and nods. You grab a note sheet and start to read off of it. "That's why he created a whole plan for the masquerade ball, and-" He grabbed your hand that was clutching the note sheet and pulled it closer to him so he could try to it read better. "A-and even though it failed-"
"Wow ______, you're freezing cold." He exclaimed, cupping both his large hands around yours.
"I'm alright Ivan, as I was saying even though-" Ignoring your effort to continue the lesson, he gripped your other dainty hand and brought them up close to his mouth, letting his warm breath heat up your hands and rubbing small gentle circles with his thumbs on the back of your palms.
"Better, да ~?"
"Y-yeah." You stutter.
"My older sister taught me that. It always kept my hands warm during the winter." You can feel your face heating up more then your hands were. Ivan smiles. He then releases your hands only to move them around to your waist.
"I really can't have my кошечка freezing~" He laughs as he pulls you onto his lap, and then wraps his arms around you from behind. "There, now we can study, and you can be warm!"
"Okay, w-well, as I was saying
" and you continued to explain the story, but Ivan was doing all he could to distract you. He hugged your waist from behind and gave you a slight squeeze. Being that close to him, you could feel his toned chest hiding underneath his sweater. He rested his head in the crook of your neck, sending shivers down your spine. He chuckled. "And Cladio felt betrayed by-!" You feel Ivan sniff your hair. 'What?! Did he just smell my hair?! What do I do?! Normal friends don't do that! Does this mean he likes you? No, m-maybe it's just a European thing, just pretend you didn't notice
"B-by Hero and had gotten upset and-!" You feel Ivan kiss the back of you neck. "Ivan!" You turn to face him almost falling off his lap.
"W-what are you doing?!" Your face now burns a bright red. No guy has ever paid attention to you like that. You don't really know how to react or what to do.
"I'm keeping my кошечка warm~"
"Ivan it's n-not that cold in here."
"I know, I guess I really couldn't help myself. You look so cute ____!" He leans down, stroking you hair to the side, he gently presses his lips to your forehead. Pulling away, he notices your shocked expression. He begins to look worried "Does little ____ not like this?"
"Well, I do, but
"You know _____, I really like you. You've been so nice ever since we met."
"______, Я люблю тебя." 'What do you say? You really like Ivan. He's really nice and sweet and cute.'
"I-I love you too Ivan." Ivan's face lights up. He takes his hand, he caresses your cheek. He closes the gap between the two of you. His lips were so soft and gentle. You two fit together perfectly, it only took moments for you to melt into the kiss. Finally you pulled away for air. Ivan chuckled.
"Yes?" He grins.
"I don't want to study anymore." And Ivan was soon on your lips again, knocking you over onto the couch.
"I love you~" You giggle a bit.
"I love you too Ivan."
